Ms. Anupam Nidhi   

Head CSR, Reliance Group

Anupam Nidhi is the Head of Group Corporate Social Responsibility at Reliance Group. She has been instrumental in managing the CSR operations across all the Group companies for past 8 years.

Her involvement spans across large businesses like Reliance Power, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Communications, Reliance Capital, Big Entertainment, Reliance Health and its Subsidiaries.

Currently, based in Mumbai she has over fifteen years of experience in both the corporate and development sectors with roles spanning from advisory, strategic planning to execution. She has spearheaded a large number of multi dimensional projects across India in both commercial and purely development domains – including in Micro Finance, Project Management, Crisis Management, Employability, Entrepreneurship Development and Environment.

Having worked with development sector organizations like Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) and LEAD-India, she has accumulated the grass-root experience which enables her to stay rooted to the brazen realities while strategizing and planning programs in her current position.
She has also been assessing corporations on Sustainability excellence for over 7 years and has been recognized as one of the Most Impactful CSR Leaders both at the national as well as global level.

A Postgraduate in Management and a Masters in Labour Law, she has done her Honour’s degree in Agriculture.  She brings with her a diverse educational background and exposure to multicultural and multilingual work environment.

Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of UP cadre in the rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests / Additional Secretary to Government of India. Presently working as Principal Advisor with Coal India Limited (CIL). Responsible for reviewing existing policy & regulatory framework and related status of clearances affecting coal mining, environment, forest, wildlife, indigenous people and forest dependent communities and carries out Policy Advocacy. Helps CIL and subsidiary coal companies in assessing and managing enterprise wide regulatory, environmental and social risk; and creating shared value with host communities, local governments and other stakeholders.

Possesses professional experience of 32+ years spanning over Government and private & public sector commercial organizations. Held various positions in Government of Uttar Pradesh, both at the District Administration level and State Administration. Earlier served as SVP with IL&FS Infrastructure Development Corporation (IIDC) / MD, Uttarakhand Infrastructure Projects Pvt. Ltd. and took initiatives to develop green infrastructure in forest resource rich State of Uttarakhand.

Successfully closed various projects. Few of these are Eco-restoration of Mined out Coalfields; Environmental Audit of Coal Mines; Mitigation Measures to Tiger Habitats from Coal Mining in Satpuda Maikal Landscape of Central India; MIS for Forest Department in the State of Uttar Pradesh;etc.

Trained and certified by – Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, CBI Netherland and IRCA-UK.

Successfully executed major initiatives like Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetable – “Safal”, “Aapni Yojana” – Rajasthan, Bastar Integrated Development Project for Royal Danish Embassy and Health of the Urban Poor Program for USAID. Sir Dr. HUZ (Huzaifa Khorakiwala) heads the non-profit organization, Wockhardt Foundation which runs several programmes in health, education, water and sanitation across the breadth of the country. Its flagship programme Mobile 1000 operates more than 90 Mobile Medical Units across 18 states in India administering free primary healthcare to more than 2 million Indians in rural & remote parts of India. Its sanitation programme – Pronto Toilets is part of the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It has now undertaken an ambitious plan of constructing more than 60,000 household toilets in Orissa.
He is also the Executive Director of Wockhardt Limited and is also part of the promoter family of the Wockhardt Group – a leading pharmaceutical and healthcare group.
Sir Dr. Huz is an MBA from the prestigious Yale University in USA. He has won numerous Awards and is associated with many social causes.
He has handled many important positions with Wockhardt, India Center Foundation, Grameen Creative Lab.
He is also the Founder of “The World Peacekeepers Movement”, an online movement comprising of more than a million peacekeepers, forming the world’s 2nd largest army. He is also the Chairman of The Peace Mission Private Ltd which sells Peace Chocs – chocolates spreading peace. Sir Dr. Huz has been bestowed with Ecumenical Medical-Humanitarian Order, Knights of St. John of Jerusalem (Knights of Charity)
